Faith, South Dakota sits at the end of a branch of the Milwaukee railroad line. Faith is another town founded during the homesteading wave of 1910 and was named in honor of Faith Rockefeller; one of the principal stockholders of the Milwaukee railroad.

Faith, SD is a west river town that lives up to the name of being a “western” town. The business market is dominated by cattle ranchers and Native Americans who come from the nearby reservation to shop. This is the last town of any size between Faith and Belle Fouche.
