North Sioux City is the first town you will enter on I-29 coming from Iowa. The history here starts with the exploration of the Missouri River. The Lewis & Clark Trail starts here in South Dakota and follows the Missouri River into North Dakota. Today the Missouri River provides North Sioux City with the reputation of being the Las Vegas of the Siouxland area. There are more than a dozen casinos along the river bank.
