Reva, South Dakota got its name from near-by Reva Gap, where the first post office, established in 1895 was situated.
Located just a couple of miles outside of the town of Reva is Natures wonders - an eighty square mile National Forest. You can see this landscape many miles away and wonder if your eyes are deceiving you after miles and miles of bare prairie land. The National Forest is almost unbelievable with the wonder of the changing vistas, steep escarpments, inter-connected valleys and towering pine trees. A person could think a tiny piece of the Black Hills got dropped into the middle of the prairie.
If you arrive at the right time of the year there is even the national turtle races in Reva, South Dakota.
