Located near the LaCreek National Wildlife Refuge the small town of Vetal thrives. Stop by the tavern and have a bite to eat or a cool drink before continuing your trip down Highway 18. The Vetal post office was officially established in 1922, was named for Vetal Valandry an early settler. In 1927 a pool hall and meat market was built and at one time a working flour mill was located here and “Our Best Flour” was made.
