Also a railroad town, Wagner was founded in 1896 and named after the first appointed postmaster. The population at this time was comprised of immigrants from Holland, Norway, Sweden, and a substantial influx of Bohemians and Czechs. There are several places to stop and see and rest for a little while. Wagner also has a historical and antique museum plus a beautiful lake and park along side the highway.
